If you are a student seeking academic credit or simply want to add experience and knowledge in your specified field through international internship, we provide you a meaningful and incredible option and opportunity. You will work side by side with local people and experience another culture like never before. You will have boundless learning opportunity that offer a deeper perspective of the culture and the global and the local issues as a NVDP internship participant. You will be placed in an internship related to your profession/interest while living with a warm and welcoming host family. It’s a wonderful opportunity to immerse in local culture and gain real world experience and knowledge.

You may choose the date of your programs dates and duration are subject to availability, but NVDP-Nepal will work with you to accommodate your needs. In order to get the most out of your internship position in Nepal. As an intern. You will stay with a host family who live near the project in which you are involved. Most of the time, the director of the project will help you to successfully complete your field report. In addition to living with a host family during the internship program, you will be supported by our local staff and partner organization in the country. Participants will be given a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

NVDP-Nepal internship program in Nepal generally comprises and interns are placed in the following areas:-

Teaching English

Orphanage

Women Issues

Health sector

Nepalese language and culture Buddhism

Environment and conservation.

Suggestion:- The schools do not have much for you to work with you will basically be teaching in a bare room with only a chalk board. We suggest you bring along any teaching supplies you feel will help. Large book stores have a great selection of teaching supplies including Q cards and short stories with related question placed on cards for convenient travel. It is greatly appreciated if you are able to leave any teaching supplies at your project.

Requirements:- There are no specific requirements for the programs. However the best things you can have are patience and a genuine desire to teach and help the children, plus a sense of humor!

Accommodation:- A simple room with a bed. We advise you to bring sleeping bag and mosquito net with you. Or you can always buy here which is 2-3 times cheaper than back home.

Meals:- Breakfast occurs at 7:00 am and consists of a cup of tea and biscuits. Lunch is served at 11:30 am and usually dall/bhat( rice, lentils and vegetable) dinner is at around 7:00 pm and is once more dall/bhat. The food is very simple but also extremely delicious and filling.

Start date:- Are very flexible, minimum time of stay in this program is one weeks and the maximum stay is five months.
